Filming Update

This has been a difficult week for filming because there have been some severe weather conditions, therefore we have been unable to film anymore footage because our locations are outdoors and it is unsafe to carry equipment through the snow.

Production Schedule 1

Monday: Intention was to film, but unfortunately the weather has ruined our opportunity because the location was an outside scene, therefore this has to be re-scheduled.

Tuesday: If possible, we would like to be able to edit the footage that we have so far.

Wednesday: Ryan and Reece have an ICT exam, whereas I will be trying to edit more footage during my morning free periods.

Thursday: There will nothing that can be done today as we are all in lessons.

Friday: Ryan and Reece have an ICT exam and I have an English exam but more editing will be done afterwards until home study.

These are the roles of everyone within our group. Plan for Scene 2: Photograph

Narrative: the scene fades in from the blank screen after the end of scene 1. Jamie is looking through some old photo albums, when she comes across an old photograph that shows her grandmother as child, with the killer discreetly visible in the background standing in the window. Upon realizing this, she calls her father into the room, who looks at the photo, then crumples it up and storms out of the room.
The reason there is no speech in this scene is because I think it will clutter the trailer, when my intention is to avoid it from being too cluttered and for the audience to focus on the main aspects of the story line.

Shots:
  • ·         extreme close up of the photograph to show the killer
  • ·         low angled shot of her looking at the photograph
  • ·         medium shot of the mother when asked a question
  • ·         high angled shot of Jamie
  • ·         over the shoulder shot of her

Setting:
  • ·         daytime lighting
  • ·         possibly in either the kitchen or the living area
